I am an Immigrant from Nigeria. I moved here to get an education and every summer I go back to Nigeria. When I tell my friends where I am from they say things along the lines of

Do you live near Lions and Tiger ?
Do you have any stores or houses or do you live in Mud Huts.

I am not denying that our country needs a lot of work but, our country is only 50 years old. We have had corrupt presidents in the past but, what country does not?

One of he main things I think needs work is the education system. The only reason we aren’t reach our full potential is because our education system in Nigeria is equal to the education system in detriot America.
The main problem we are having is people go to different countries for an education and end up working for that country instead of staying loyal. However when we get educated in Europe/ America their is no stopping us.

I want you to look at some of these education statistics though because Nigeria is on the rise.

43.8 percent of African immigrants had achieved a college degree, compared with 42.5 of Asian-Americans, 28.9 percent for immigrants from Europe, Russia and Canada and 23.1 percent of the U.S. population as a whole.
