Stocks ease as US jobs data loom

Stock markets in Europe and the U.S. showed little momentum Thursday as oil prices pushed higher and investors awaited a key U.S. jobs report. The euro, meanwhile, was supported by expectations the European Central Bank will raise interest rates next week to combat inflation.
